Hire Terms & Conditions
The below applies to any individual or business entity (hereinafter referred to as “the customer” or “you”) who hires or purchases goods and services from Safe ‘n Snug (hereinafter referred to as “Safe ‘n Snug” “us” or “we). These Terms and Conditions are deemed to be accepted by the customer by payment of the deposit or bond.
Hire Terms - The goods hired remain the property of Safe ‘n Snug Ltd at all times. Ownership shall not at any time pass to the customer.
Hire Period - The hire period is as set out in the hire agreement or agreed to by both the customer and Safe ‘n Snug. A reminder email will be sent to the customer at the email address given one month before the item is due back. A late fee of $10 per day will be charged and the customer will be liable for payment of if the item is not returned prior to or on the date set out in the hire agreement. This hire can be extended if agreed to by both the customer and us prior to the current return date noted.
Pricing & Payment - Pricing varies between items and the cost of the hire is set out in this hire agreement. A non-refundable deposit of $50 will paid at the time of booking to hold the hire and will become the refundable security bond at the start of hire. Full payment for the hire term including a refundable security bond must be paid prior to taking hired item. A $10 per day late fee applies to all items not returned by the date set out in the hire agreement.
Security Bond - A $50 security bond is required on all hire purchases and payment is required at the time the hire commences. This will be refunded via original payment method once all items are returned in the same condition. If damage is more than the security bond, the customer agrees to pay the outstanding balance for all repairs or replacement of the hired item.
Pick up & Returns - All items are to be picked up and returned to Safe ‘n Snug, 11 Kauri Rd, Whenuapai 0618 or such other address at which we advise we are operating from in the future. All items should be returned in the same condition and packaging as they were picked up in.
Cancellation - All cancellations must be made in writing to info@safensnug.co.nz. Once received we will acknowledge via a written confirmation email. The non-refundable $50 deposit will not be returned. Please note that any early returns after the commencement of hire will not be entitled to any refund.
Care - Please ensure all items are handled with care as supplied and in accordance with all labels and instructions. If you deem that the hire item needs to be washed please follow the instructions in the provided manual to ensure the safety of the hired item is not compromised.
Damage, Lost and Broken Items - All goods must be returned in the same manner and condition as they were hired in (fair wear and tear is expected). Items will be inspected both at hire commencement and upon return. In the event of an accident or damage to a hired item the customer must make contact with Safe ‘n Snug at the earliest convenience so the appropriate action can be made for the safety of your child. If there are any breakages, damage or if any items go missing (including packaging if applicable) while being hired the customer is liable for the replacement costs. This will be deducted from the bond and any additional cost is to be paid by the customer. The replacement value is based on current retail value.
The customer is responsible for ensuring that the hired item is used in a safe and sensible manner, used only for the purpose for which it is supplied and in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and Safe ‘n Snug’s instructions where necessary.
Warranties, Liability and Indemnity - Safe ‘n Snug gives no warranty of any kind in respect of the hired items and hereby disclaims any warranty, whether expressed or implied, including but not limited to warranties of condition or suitability for purpose.
Safe ‘n Snug shall not be liable to the customer or any third party for any injury, damages, costs, claims, or demands of any kind whatsoever and howsoever arising either directly or indirectly from the use, maintenance, transport or operation of the hired items.
